Katie Scott s illustrations are reminiscent of Ernst Haeckel s wonderful, painstakingly detailed botanical drawings. Over 200 animals are depicted in large, colorful tableaux and described in concise accompanying texts. A fascinating book on the complex world of animals for adults and children alike. Das Museum der Tiere received the Emys non-fiction prize in January 2015.
